Your responsibilities

• Ensuring that the financial and administrative processes of the projects are aligned with Welthungerhilfe’s financial and administrative policies and procedures, as well as donor contractual agreements
• Managing and developing the finance team in country
• Budget planning of the Country Office and preparation of the cost and financing plan, as well as supporting the Country Director in monitoring the budget
• Coordinating Country Office statements on audit and accounting reports, and checking implementation of appropriate recommendations and requirements
• Ensuring that donor reports are accurate, and submitted timely, and that all donor queries are responded to
• Controlling and supervising liquidity planning of the projects and internal fund requests
• Instructing and supporting partner organizations in matters relating to financial management and enhance their capacity to fulfill their contractual obligations to Welthungerhilfe
• Reviewing contracts for quality and compliance
• Supporting Heads of Project in preparation of donor fund requests, project extension requests and reports

Your profile

• A university or college degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Auditing, or related discipline
• More than 5 years working experience in managing finance processes in a leadership role
• Experience working with a diverse set of donors, preferably EU, SIDA, GIZ, BMZ, GFFO
• Experience in remote management and cash management in conflict zones
• Proven skills in finance reporting, audit preparations, budgeting, management, and organizational skills
• Readiness to receive necessary vaccinations for working in Welthungerhilfe’s programme countries
• Excellent spoken and written English
