Content Manager

PSE description :

Pour un Sourire d’Enfant (PSE) – For a Child’s Smile is a non-profit organization founded by Christian and Marie-France des Pallières, operating in Cambodia since 1995. Its mission is to help to help children escape from destitution and lead them to decent, skilled and well-paid jobs.

Recognized by the local authorities, PSE is working in respect of the country, with the Cambodians, and thus supports sustainable development.

Six main programs – adapted to the needs of the children – have been developed: food, health, protection, education & schooling, vocational training and help for families.

PSE helps more than 6,500 children and more than 5,500 graduates from PSE Vocational Training program already have successfully integrated the job market with a real qualified position.

PSE employs more than 600 people in Cambodia (Phnom Penh mainly) and 6 staff at the headquarter in France.  300 volunteers in different countries are actively working on making the organization known, on fundraising donations and sponsorships.

In 2000, PSE was awarded the French Human Rights Prize by the French Republic.

 

Job position:

The Content Marketing Manager will play a critical role in driving content strategy and execution for our dynamic Communications team. You will leverage your expertise in content marketing to create compelling content that resonates with our audience and supports our fundraising objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive content marketing strategy that aligns with PSE goals.
  • Create and oversee engaging, high-quality written and visual content for various platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect information about our activity, updates from all schools and to find testimonials.
  • Analyze content performance metrics and optimize content strategies accordingly.
  • Manage a team of 2: one volunteer in charge of social media and content production and one graphist designer, providing guidance and development opportunities.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and adjust content marketing strategies as needed.
  • Foster a culture of creativity and innovation within the content team.

 

Content Strategy Development:

  • Create and implement a cohesive content strategy across channels, balancing short-form and long-form content based on our goals to generate leads for the fundraising team and brand awareness.

 

Content Creation and Management:

  • Develop, write, adjust content like articles, social media posts, email nurturing, ads and other materials aligned with PSE’s mission
  • Oversee and maintain a consistent, high-quality content production process and creativity
  • Repurpose existing content into new formats to reach broader audiences. 
  • Optimize SEO elements and structure content for search visibility.

 

Content Planning and Calendar Management:

  • Plan and manage a content calendar to keep content timely and relevant to Education trends in France and in Cambodia

 

Performance Tracking and Data Analysis:

  • Monitor engagement metrics, analyze content performance, and adjust strategies to maximize impact
  • Use insights from analytics to refine content and respond to audience preferences

Expériences / Formation

Education

  • Master degree Mass Communication /or Public Relations /or Marketing /or equivalent

Experience

  • At least 2 years working experience

Skills

  • Good writing skills and willingness to create various content (interviews, photos…);
  • Taste for challenge;
  • Meticulous;
  • Demonstrate teamwork skills in a multi-cultural context;
  • Artistic and creative abilities;
  • French native speaker with very good command and English (reading & writing). Khmer is a plus;
  • Knowledge on DTP tools (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator…) and Canva.

Attitudes

  • Willing to put your skills and talents at the service of an NGO as part of a volunteer mission;
  • Demonstrate a deep and sincere interest in access to education for children from poor families;

Salaire

Type of Contract: Limited duration with a minimum period of one year, 2 to 3 years being preferable.

 Compensation: to be discussed
VSI contract for European Union Nationals, providing comprehensive coverage for healthcare, assistance/repatriation insurance, pension contribution, plane ticket one way and return, plus round plane ticket once a year to home country

Localization: Phnom Penh, Cambodia
