All the establishments in the CRf health sector represent nearly 2,000 beds and places spread across 10 regions of the metropolitan territory, with 29 hyper-specialized establishments, in the fields of MCO (Medicine Surgery Obstetrics), SMR (Medical Rehabilitation Care), HAD (Home Hospitalization) and child psychiatry.

The Margency Children’s Hospital, located in Margency, is recruiting a Young Children’s Educator (M/F).

This position is to be filled on a permanent contract, full-time and as soon as possible.

An exclusively pediatric establishment, of the ESPIC type, for follow-up care and rehabilitation, with a capacity of 106 beds (300 employees), managed by the French Red Cross, the Margency Children’s Hospital welcomes children from a few months to 17 years old divided into 2 functional Poles:

Functional Onco-Hematology Unit with 31 beds providing chemotherapy treatments administered on site, transfusions, monitoring and treatment of periods of febrile aplasia, rehabilitation of bone tumors, post-allograft bone marrow transplantation and palliative care;
Specialized Pediatric Functional Unit with 75 beds composed of a department for « small » children (0 to 3 years old) with respiratory pathologies with NIV, tracheotomy, ventilation, digestive pathologies, NEDC, long-term parenteral nutrition, etc., a department for « large » children (10 to 18 years old) and a department for « medium » children (3 to 10 years old) of multipurpose pediatrics with patients with cystic fibrosis, sickle cell disease, diabetes, pre- or post-kidney transplant, infectious diseases, etc.

Position

Within a multidisciplinary hospital team, he contributes to the development and fulfillment of the patient by developing an educational and awareness project. He is a member of the multidisciplinary team and, as such, participates in the overall care of the patient from dawn to dusk.

Supporting the patient from the moment they arrive at the hospital, providing daily assistance. Contributing to the patient’s awareness and development by setting up activities, discovery workshops and games. Maintaining the educational link between the family and the patient.

Helping to develop the child’s abilities by remaining vigilant about their behavior. Adapting to the patient’s needs by creating secure spaces, participating in monitoring the progress of their state of health by respecting medical prescriptions and the hygiene rules inherent in the pediatric hospital environment. MISSIONS AND ACTIVITIES

 Participating in welcoming the patient and their family.

 Participating in the patient’s personal hygiene and learning.

 Accompanying and supervising the patient during mealtimes.

 It contributes to the awakening and development of the patient’s expression by setting up animation activities, workshops, etc.

 It can accompany the patient and participate in various external meetings concerning their care.

Develop the child’s abilities by remaining vigilant about their behavior

 It ensures that any behavioral disorders and psychomotor delays are identified through play, speech and gesture and reports them to the multidisciplinary team.

 It promotes the patient’s autonomy and socialization and contributes to their intellectual, physical, sensory and psycho-affective development.

Adapt to the child’s needs

 It allows parental educational continuity while respecting the family and social environment and cultural references.

 It arranges and secures the patient’s living spaces and best meets their physical, intellectual and emotional needs.

 He inquires about the evolution of the patient’s state of health and implements the doctor’s prescriptions and the recommendations of the nursing staff.

Set up activities in line with the patient’s needs

 He participates in the implementation of the establishment’s educational project.

 He enters and records the quantitative data on patient care (PMSI).

 He completes the patient’s file based on elements from a regular assessment.

Stay informed

 He trains and learns about the evolution of educational practices and shares them with the team members.

 He learns and shares the data and observations collected by the team members.

Communicate

 He receives and gives information to the medical staff and the multidisciplinary team.

 He participates in service and summary meetings.

Get involved in partnership, institutional and inter-institutional dynamics

 Liaise with external educational and medico-social partners and coordinate your action with them

Your remuneration is made according to the Collective Agreement of the French Red Cross with a 100% resumption of seniority.
