Begum Organization for Women (https://begum.ngo/) is an NGO based in France and operating in Afghanistan. Its goal is to promote equality, education, and the empowerment of Afghan women through various media platforms. Launched in March 2021, Begum Radio is an activist project, created by women for women, broadcasting educational, health, and informative content from Kabul across Afghanistan. In parallel, the NGO developed Begum Academy (https://begumacademy.org/en/), an online school offering free courses for girls and women in grades 7 to 12. Additionally, Begum TV (https://begum.tv/) was launched in Paris to broadcast educational, informative, and entertainment programs via satellite to Afghanistan. Radio Begum, Begum Academy, and Begum TV work together to strengthen the empowerment of women and girls in Afghanistan.

Job Overview

This role primarily focuses on producing, presenting, and editing a program in Dari language that promotes the Begum Academy on Begum TV. The ideal candidate should have formal training in education and strong communication skills to effectively engage the audience. In addition to creating educational content for the TV program, the role also involves developing content for social media platforms and supporting the overall growth of the Begum Academy.

Responsibilities:

• Produce, present and edit an educational program to promote the Begum Academy on Begum TV.

• Editing, packaging and mastering the program properly in a timely manner.

• Develop engaging content for the Begum Academy’s social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) to increase student engagement.

• Monitor data to track the progress of the Begum Academy and improve the student experience.

• Assist the Educational Projects Manager in daily tasks and project coordination.

• Provide regular updates and feedback to the Educational Projects Manager regarding the program’s progress and developments on social media.
